Predicted for Glastonbury Festival, Rains are falling

Rain falling at Glastonbury next weekend, but forecasters say the chances are that the festival should not expect is a washout.

40th birthday last year on record, saw one of the hottest Glastonbury. With a week to go and while there, a repeat of that brief and intermittent rains are expected to have little chance.

Sarah Holland, forecaster at the Met Office, told The Guardian: “The outlook for next week remains unsettled with a mix of sunshine and showers unfortunately.”

She has predicted that temperatures are around 18C wind and occasional rain, although it will feel cold. But to say that Glastonbury punters reassures: "The south-west looks to have the best of the weather in the UK, with a better chance of sunny spells."
