Glastonbury Festival fans will be offered oatcake delicacy

Biddulph-based Povey's Oatcakes, North Staffordshire, a caterer who was hired to favorite dish of the festival next weekend will see the 7000 is protected with an agreement.

's first events of the same order of Shropshire-based caterer, but think it was on the menu at the oatcakes Glastonbury.

Owner Alex Povey, aged 22, from Leek, said: "We are really pleased to have sold 7,000 oatcakes to be sent to Glastonbury for the festival.

"It is a gamble, but it could put North Staffordshire on the map.

"We have never sold our oatcakes there before and never heard of any others there either.

"They should sell out and we're hoping to get an order for more part-way through."

The oatcakes have been caterer will be dishing them up for about £3 to £4 sent with traditional fillings.

Povey's also an array of banners and signs sent to the catering van suit.

The festival is to promote the image of the Glastonbury and oatcakes for lunch on my Facebook page is uploaded.

Alex added: "Customers have told us it will make them feel at home having oatcakes at Glastonbury.

"But we hope to get people from all over the UK trying them and showing us what they think by uploading pictures."

Glastonbury Festival tickets sold out in four hours, the event takes place from June 22 and June 26.

The gorgeous festival headline acts include U2, Coldplay and Beyoncé but the line-up will also see sets from Morrissey, Biffy Clyro, Paulo Nutini and Plan B.
