Eventually Glastonbury Festival tickets have sold out

Eventually Glastonbury Festival tickets have sold out.

Tickets on sale at 9am this morning, went back on April 17, and all were sold by 11am. Standard tickets sold within an hour, an hour after a coach and with ticket packages.

Festival organisers said that demand was “incredibly high”. They wrote, "Apologies to those of you who didn't get a ticket. Demand hugely outstripped supply, so unfortunately some people had to miss out."

They added that there was a small chance that another resale would take place: “Last year, there was a v. limited resale in early May following the last date for ticket refunds. Don't yet know if there will be this year.”

Gastonbury Festival headline U2, Coldplay and Beyonce will perform at Pyramid Stage, and further band on the bill include Morrissey, Plan B, Tinie Tempah and Cee Lo Green was confirmed to perform in this summer festival.

The event held at Worthy Farm in Somerset on 24-26 June.
