Glastonbury Festival emerging talent competition 2011

Glastonbury Festival emerging talent competition following their performance Ellen and the Escapades on the Avalon stage 2010.

Seventh annual search for bands who are recently left to perform on one of the Festival’s main stages at this year’s Festival on Monday 10th and January and will last until Monday 17th January.

In this competition available to enter the bands performers and solo artists from the UK and Ireland and it's free to enter.

Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis before the live finals at Pilton Working Men’s Club in April will decide the winning act.

All participant for necessary to visit the Glastonbury Festival website in this week and supply a direct link to a webpage where at least one song can be heard. This can be either an official website for the performer or Myspace, Youtube etc.

Rihanna: 'I'd love to play Glastonbury'


Rihanna recapitulate showed his interest to rock at the Glastonbury music festival.

Speaking to Q, she explained: "I'd love to play Glastonbury. I have heard so many things about what happens there. I love rock music. I love Kings of Leon and The Prodigy. You could have nightmares about that guy with the clown face and the weird hair [Keith Flint]. That's a look to scare little kids, right?

"But the music is awesome. I like the more traditional rock bands, too: Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. I think I could rock the stage at Glastonbury, no question."

Pointing to Jay-Z's headline performance in 2008, she added: "I know since Jay-Z played they are open to a lot more R&B. And 'Umbrella' would be the perfect song for that place too."

Bon Jovi perform "Toying" at Glastonbury Festival

Bon Jovi perform "Toying" next years at Glastonbury Festival. The band are also perform their own UK dates for upcoming up summer

According to the Daily Star in an interview, at the festival singer Jon Bon Jovi offered to perform. He said, “I’ve always toyed with the idea of playing there. If they don’t have another old-timer like me, I’d love to go out and see it and perhaps do a set, sure.”

Tickets have sold out to the Glastonbury Festival.

Ronnie Wood aim perform with Rolling Stones at Glastonbury festival

Ronnie Wood aim that he perform with Rolling Stones at Glastonbury festival next summer.

According to the news the guitarist told
it was a great chance to their band got back together again. He said, "I'd love to do it [Glastonbury]. I'm always up for the festivals. As far as the Stones are concerned we haven't had a get-together for three years but it's high time."

The band are always rumoured to be performing at Glastonbury Festival. Ronnie Wood has concert perform in 2010 with the reformed Faces, Having a break The Rolling Stones.

Kylie Minogue's Wish To Play At Glastonbury Festival Next Year


Kylie Minogue's desperately wants to perform at Glanstonbury Festival revealed by the singer.

The singer who had to pull out of her appearance at the festival in 2005 is eager to appear.

Minogue told The Sun,"'I don’t know if anything’s happening with Glastonbury. I love the idea of doing a festival,Everyone gets festival crazy by the time summer rolls around, and I’m obviously the same with that too.”

Extra dates to her UK and Ireland arena tour next year has also been added by Kylie Minogue.

Biffy Clyro scoop award for Glastonbury Festival performance

The Virtual Festivals Critics Choice had been earned by Biffy Clyro's for their performance at Glastonbury Festival at the UK Festival Awards.

The event which took place at indigO2, part of The O2 complex in London,The festival itself picked up the Promoter of the Year accolade.

Best Major Festival went to Bestival and Best Family Festival to Camp Bestival.

The Coral Will Perform At Glastonbury Festival

For the Glastonbury Festival 2011,The Coral has confirmed there presence in the festival.

The event which will going to be take placed from June 24-26 at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

Speaking to Yorkshire Radio's Darren Harper, keyboardist Nick Power said they were “confirmed”.

Harper later posted the news on Twitter. He wrote: "Glastonbury rumours .... I interviewed Nick from The Coral yesterday.... He confirmed they will be playing!"

The news comes after Jarvis Cocker fuelled rumours that Pulp will perform and one tabloid newspaper claimed that Take That could be headlining the Pyramid Stage.

Coldplay, U2 and Prince have also been rumoured to have a slot, along with Beyonce, The Libertines and more.

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2011 sold out within hours after going on sale back in October.
