I want to sing at Glastonbury Festival Says Burke


Alexandra Burke has revealed that she would love to perform at this Glastonbury summer festival.

Alexandra Burke former X Factor winner has commenced with her first headline tour of the UK, is eager to bring her All Night Long show to the summer festival season.

Alexandra told the Daily Star: "Last year I didn't have a band. This year I do, so I'm ready - I would love to play Glastonbury, V Festival, Wireless and the Isle of Wight.

"I need to get involved - I have a hot band."

Alexandra said: "I love my up-tempo stuff so I don't want to lose that as people know me for it. But I'll also have special ballads, maybe three at the most.

"I really want to take risks like I did on this tour - it's a taster. You're absolutely going to hear it this year, I'm not wasting any time. After the tour I'm taking two days off to sort myself out, then I'm going to finish the album."

ABBA To Play Glastonbury Festival 2011


It has been reported that ABBA may reunite and have been backed to perform at this year's Glastonbury festival.

Agnetha Faltskog,former bandmate is considering to reforming with the band but had yet to discuss a possible comeback.

Bookmakers William Hill are offering odds of 33/1 that the group choose Glastonbury for a reunion gig.

William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams told Gigwise: "ABBA fans should be very excited, we are now the same price for an Abba reunion as we were for Take That in January last year and we all know that Robbie is back.”

Glastonbury Festival: Emerging Talent Competition 2011

Glastonbury Festival has launch of its Emerging Talent competition 2011 the great opportunity to the new artists to perform at this year's festival.

This competition will give a new artists and introduces from new musical genre which will open on 17 January Monday. Firstly introduces are in, 40 of the UK's most high profile bloggers will select a longlist of 120 acts. And their judges are including Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis, will then select only 10 artists who will take place a live final showcase in April.

Tickets have already sold out, Glastonbury takes place in Somerset from June 24-26.

Glastonbury Festival emerging talent competition 2011

Glastonbury Festival emerging talent competition following their performance Ellen and the Escapades on the Avalon stage 2010.

Seventh annual search for bands who are recently left to perform on one of the Festival’s main stages at this year’s Festival on Monday 10th and January and will last until Monday 17th January.

In this competition available to enter the bands performers and solo artists from the UK and Ireland and it's free to enter.

Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis before the live finals at Pilton Working Men’s Club in April will decide the winning act.

All participant for necessary to visit the Glastonbury Festival website in this week and supply a direct link to a webpage where at least one song can be heard. This can be either an official website for the performer or Myspace, Youtube etc.

Rihanna: 'I'd love to play Glastonbury'


Rihanna recapitulate showed his interest to rock at the Glastonbury music festival.

Speaking to Q, she explained: "I'd love to play Glastonbury. I have heard so many things about what happens there. I love rock music. I love Kings of Leon and The Prodigy. You could have nightmares about that guy with the clown face and the weird hair [Keith Flint]. That's a look to scare little kids, right?

"But the music is awesome. I like the more traditional rock bands, too: Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. I think I could rock the stage at Glastonbury, no question."

Pointing to Jay-Z's headline performance in 2008, she added: "I know since Jay-Z played they are open to a lot more R&B. And 'Umbrella' would be the perfect song for that place too."
