Rastamouse is working his live debut at Glastonbury Festival

Rastamouse is working his live debut at Glastonbury Festival 2011.

Gruffalo and the Zingzillas on the Kidz Field are confirmed to perform in this summer festival.

The event takes place at
Worthy Farm from June 22 to June 26.

'We're very pleased to announce that another superstar of the children's books/TV world has been added to the bill,' said the Somerset bash's organisers on the festival website.

'Rastamouse, the reggae-playing, crime-fighting mouse who's become something of a phenomenon since hitting TV screens at the beginning of this year, will make his worldwide live debut at this year's festival, with a daily performance alongside his Easy Crew [natch].'

BBC recently faced criticism from some viewers after set a bad example for children is as dreadlocked rodent 'non-standard use of English grammar' claimed.

Referring to the CBeebies hero's lilting Afro-Caribbean patois rhyme, parents expressed concern that their kids could cause playground friction by repeating phrases such as ‘Me wan go’ (I want to go), ‘ting’ (thing) and ‘wagwan’ (whats going on?).

One mother on parenting forum Mumsnet said, ‘My child is white and I feel if she was to say this to another child who was not white it would be seen as her insulting the other child’.

'Rastamouse is part of a rich and varied schedule dedicated to reflecting the lives of all children,' was the response from the Beeb.

Glastonbury Festival full line-up Morrissey, B.B. King, Elbow, Paul Simon and Jimmy Cliff

Glastonbury Festival full line-up Morrissey, B.B. King, Elbow, Paul Simon and Jimmy Cliff will booked to perform in this year.

The previously headliner U2, Coldplay and Beyoncé at the event, which present at Worthy Farm in Somerset between June 22 -26.

The latest addition on the bill include Biffy Clyro, Paulo Nutini, Tinie Tempah, Pendulum, Plan B, Primal Scream, Mumford & Sons, The Chemical Brothers, White Lies, Queens of the Stone Age and Kaiser Chiefs.

At the event will may be presented more than 170,000 tickets has already sold out, and resale tickets will held on 17th April Sunday.
