Glastonbury boss Michael Eavis revealed that tragedy into an otherwise excellent festival was a suicide.

Politician Christopher Shale was found dead in a portable toilet, backstage at the festival on Sunday morning.


Police have already ruled as cause of death in suspicious circumstances, but they are continuing with their investigation.


However, Eavis insisted the death was a suicide.


He says, "I'm told it was a suicide situation... It's very, very sad. I can't say too much about it."


Shale, chairman of a local Conservative Party and British Prime Minister David Cameron was "great friend".
